Masada

It is with the heaviest of hearts and unequivocal disappointment that we must announce the cancellation of Day Zero Masada.

Despite the best efforts of our team and our partners @thetripping to bring the magic alive once more in the desert of the Dead Sea, we have been faced in the last few weeks with a series of insurmountable problems leading us to cancel the event.

The prevailing economic climate and the continuing rise of costs with all suppliers in the last few weeks have left us with no choice but to accept this reality.

Since the pandemic, suppliers of festivals - from sound & light, cleaning companies, security & police, staffing at every level - everyone has increased their prices by 30-50% and in the current climate against the backdrop of security problems and gate invasions that have happened at other large shows in the area, we have been asked to pay huge amounts more than originally accounted for. An extraordinarily expensive event already became even more expensive, and we are unwilling to pass those costs onto our attendees.

Anyone who knows us understands that if we decide to create an event it will happen - even in an extremely challenging location. Every aspect of this event was to be unique. This is where the magic lies, and we were not prepared to deliver anything less than what is expected by all of those who plan to attend and support this event.

We are deeply distraught by this announcement, it has left us in pieces. We are so upset.

Hopefully in the future all those responsible for moving the goal posts continuously will realize the damage they cause not only to all of us but also to themselves in the long run.
